For years, range operators managed their business from the POS at the counter and their lanes from a separate system on the range floor, two control modules with no direct line of communication between them. Action Target, Inc., the leading global expert on modern shooting ranges, today officially launched the SmartRange AXIS Connect™ Partner Program, formalizing its open-API integration ecosystem and establishing a verified pathway for point-of-sale (POS) vendors to connect directly with the SmartRange AXIS™ range management platform through a single interface.
The program recognizes POS providers that have built and validated native integrations with SmartRange AXIS through the SRA Connect™ API, creating a unified operating environment for commercial shooting ranges and the operational efficiencies range operators and their customers expect from a modern range experience.
SRA Connect™ is an integration layer within SmartRange AXIS™, Action Target’s advanced range management platform, that bridges lane management and point-of-sale into a single, connected workflow. Range staff manage scheduling, lane assignments, and session times from the POS they already use, with every change reflected in real time across SmartRange AXIS. No separate platform, no duplicate data entry. On the range side, SmartRange AXIS continues to handle what it was built for: range management with key features like target systems control, HVAC, lane-level controls, and other range equipment. When a shooter checks in at the counter, their name is automatically pushed to the local control screen and their session begins.
For shooters, the connection opens up something new: the ability to buy additional lane time, targets, ammunition, and gun rentals from an in-stall screen, without stepping away from their lane or their equipment. With in the user interface, product carousels display what is available, and checkout flows entirely through the connected POS. For range staff, inventory is managed through the same system used at the counter, with no separate platform to maintain. When a purchase is made, staff receive a notification and can deliver items directly to the stall via concierge service. All customer data, payment information, and transaction records stay within the POS platform.
Keeping shooters in their stall is central to the integration’s value, for both the range operator and the customer. When additional items are needed, they can be added to a cart and checked out without packing up gear or leaving equipment unattended. That frictionless experience benefits the customer and drives incremental revenue for the range.

The SmartRange AXIS Connect™ Partner Program officially launches with six verified integration partners: BizzFlo, Celerant, Coreware, DefenderPOS, Flowstate, and OtterText. Three partners are already live, with all remaining platforms on track to be fully interoperable with SmartRange AXIS in the near term. The program is built on an open API, and Action Target welcomes inquiries from additional POS vendors, building management system (BMS) providers, and systems integrators serving the shooting range market.
